Yes they should
You will experience a big difference with Pitch up = spacebar. Much easier and faster to turn and control the plane. Its the first rule in the air book when flying with K/M.

It's hard to fly with mouse only. Finding your own way to set up the keyboard to control the plane / chopper is a good idea and then use the mouse to fine tune and aim with.
