Played a round on Breakaway
AA still camped but cried when APS didnt work 👿
Good news: Ribbons to unlock XFAD-4 Draugr and DFR Strife can be earned in any official mode, so not event specific! 🙌
I tested it by playing normal games and the tracker towards 80 ribbons is progressing!

I can confirm-
The Drauger is pilotable 100% and not in anyway remote control either.
The dual cannons are pretty good against infantry.
The EMP bomb is useless, and you will need to get the kills to upgrade to the jammer as you are a sitting duck with any kind of AA.

That’s great news RR, thanks for sharing that!

Tried the Draugr, and... God this balance is so, so exhausting. The NNEMP CAN do ok damage on a direct hit, which is hard, but its cooldown is so slow. You can't drop a 2nd on your next strafe, unless the map is big and you stall. It can do something like ~45 damage to Wildcats, tanks, 55 to Brawlers. It can 1shot air transports. It can't 1shot jeeps. The EMP area of effect is small. For AGMs, you get 1, the cooldown isn't as bad, you can fire off an AGM each strafe, but it's 1 AGM, that can be smoked off. For farming bots it's an upgrade over the NNEMP, against real players with smoke it's probably just garbage. The kerosene bomb isn't what I expected, in a boring way. I expected a bomb that will engulf a moderately large area in flames, getting a kill if someone was standing near the centre, but otherwise acting as area denial that could be interesting to shove in closed spaces. Instead, it's just a bomb, that's it. It explodes and the explosion kills infantry. From a bit of gameplay, it seems maybe a bit weak.
The 20mm AP sacrifices splash for a bit higher ground vehicle damage. Air damage looks about the same. You aren't out-skilling DICE's balance here, as it does 12 damage to infantry per hit.
The jammer, which I guess is supposed to be the flare replacement, is annoying to use. It's my assumption that it prevents locks from happening, but does not stop rockets already flying at you. The description states it's only against vehicles and not infantry, I think this might be wrong, but this is very bad either way. It also feels very luck-based. The netcode will fail you if you activate it as you're getting locked (not after the lock has finished), and you will eat a rocket anyways. Activating it based on a hunch of when you might get locked, it has a high chance to not last long enough - its duration looks to be around the same as flares, with a faster cooldown. Most vehicles' lockons are balanced around having a rocket wasted by flares, you are in way more danger here. Lockons are such an annoying mechanic, and extremely annoying to use. I'd hope the next BF game has some more interesting and balanced mechanic for ground attacking air, but that's probably not happening.
Takes too long to unlock its equipment. So annoying, at this point I just got tired of it. Maybe the JDAM is OP. Whatever.
If you die in it in a bot match, wait the annoying 1:30 (it's a bot match... Please...), then spawn again in it, chances are your viewport will be underground.
I'm going to keep using the word annoying as many times as it takes, because that word encapsulates a lot of my feelings about this vehicle, and the game state to an extent.
Attack helicopter anti-vehicle rockets are still better against infantry than anti-personnel rockets. If "Attack Helicopters should still be potent and a direct counter to ground armor", that implies they should be weak against infantry (nevermind the logical issue of attack helicopters countering their counter), that hopping in the gunner seat of one should NOT function like a COD killstreak but 30 minutes long.
- Hudson15312 years agoSeasoned Ace@Lady_One Thanks for that indepth feedback
I got 140 kills/assists with the bomber so far but hopefully tomorrow a few more games and multi kills and can unlock air to ground. - ElliotLH2 years agoHero+@Hudson1531 In case it in any way helps, I've seen someone did the T1 by grinding Air Superiority. Guess it helps only having to worry about threats in the air.

Okay, now where the hell did you put the Ranger now?
Choppers are still crazily overpowered, nothing changed, only stupid unbalancing changes nobody asked for, what are they thinking? It's a complete disrespect for the players to make the game even worse after each update
I love the new mode, whatever it is! It honestly at times gives me flashbacks of BF3. Deems to be a lot less lag too. I'm smiling!
