BF2042 vehicle Feedback
- Railgun tank with extreme projectile velocity, minimal projectile drop and yet high damage!!! - especially a problem for air vehicles with a large hitbox (e.g. transport choppers, apache/hokum and jets)
Anyone with decent aim can one-shot destroy jets and choppers from like 1 km away (nightbirds are an exception here because of the small hitbox). Recently, I've been one-shotted a couple of times by the tor while in the middle of dogfights - this should NOT be a thing!
- Wildcat with a 600-m lockon range - this is far too disruptive to chopper/jet dogfights, especially on the small maps; you're pretty much dead if you have ran out of flares because the wildcat can fire two successive missiles, where each deals a substantial amount of damage (imo, either the range or damage of the AA missiles should be reduced or at least increase lock on time significantly). This is worse on maps with lower than usual flight ceiling and tighter vertical boundaries.
- Bolte has ridiculously low track hp - recoiless m5/tank shot to the tracks can completely immobilise the bolte (beyond me how anyone thought that was a good idea); damage to the main body substantially reduces its speed
- Nightbirds 7.62-mm miniguns have insane accuracy, range and fire rate - this coupled with their ridiculous agility makes them overpowered vs other air vehicles (nightbirds can casually dodge AA radar missiles.
- Hokum/Apache 70-mm anti-vehicle rockets are overpowered against light air-vehicles with a large hitbox - i almost never use the attack choppers and yet had no difficulty at all wrecking stealth choppers and jets with the rockets; coupled with a decent dedicated gunner, these attack choppers are quite OP imo
- Jets. The su57-v-f35 balance is still bad, one year post-launch; jets need better speed control and a speed buff (right now, the jets can be one-shotted easily by the tor and can be dealt continuous damage by the wildcat's dual 30-mm cannons, while flying at full speed > 500 m!!!); unlike choppers, which can be fairly effective against air vehicles, ground vehicles and infantry at the same time, jets currently can only be adequately effective against air OR ground vehicles - third weapon slot could solve this issue. Finally, the stealth jets in this game do NOT have a single stealth feature *facepalm*
- Transport choppers. Still OP. Repair rate with 2x repair tool at same time should be nerfed because the transport helis can pretty much ignore damage right now - they regenerate their health far too quickly, which is especially problematic considering their high max hp.
