I see peoples everywhere calling BF2042 an " arena shooter " and a " BR games " or a " hero shooter " like overwatch lol .. Its laughable and sad actually ..

BF2042 is indeed a combines arms game like BF games should be Infantry heavy spaces " exist troughout all maps .. B1 B2 D1C1 A1 A2 in manifest are all Infantry heavy spaces where infantry dominate most of the game .. Discarded gets infantry heavy gameplay around D1D2 C1 and pretty much all capture points area or around it while in between objective " Combines arms " gameplay actually shine ... Specialist are nothing more than Subclasses type with Locked gadjet and reconizable look for expectation and predictability and the other gadjet slot and loadout are free for extended custumization ..

Also I do not farm infantry only when i pilot things .. I take care of vehicles first then if i have free time in between i will kill infantry to help my team and i master all types of vehicles from Air to ground and i also master infantry .. I am a BF players and planetside players since ever .. So i am use to do a littlebit of everything

It was designed as a BR game and was turned into a combined arms game where the anonymous faction based infantry soldiers one would expect were replaced by non-faction-specific hero characters. I would still call it 'combined arms' and definitely not a hero shooter, even though you can play it that way. But the core is still kinda 'combined arms' in my book.

Now as many players of my clan have abandoned this iteration and mostly returned to BF5 there are still some nights when we are only 4 players willing to give BF2042 a go (the maximum of friends you can play together with). So we do that until one of us rage quits and we play something else. But then you can sometimes have fun. One with SOFLAM and 3 others with M5 and hunting helis can be nice.

    @DuaneDibbley Thats repeating the Tom henderson " fake news " propaganda .. The game wasnt designed as a " BR game " it was designed as a BF game ... There is NO BR maps . no BR components and EA had no intention of making another BR to compeat with Apex legends .. Look at BFV battle Royal what they did to it ?
