100% this. Don't get me wrong, BF4 is one of my favorites, loved the challenges, Easter eggs, weapons and maps, getting DICE cammo....but oh my God that launch was the worst. It took forever to get fixed as well.
But hey, guess many forgot the beginning and focus more at the end product.
Bf4 is the reason why I stopped pre ordering games.

Thats what it comes down to, many are upset that they pre-ordered a game with some preconceived idea on how the game will be. Once they got it, it wasn't what they expected.
The reality is with games being digital now, there is no need to pre-order since their is no fear the game will be out of stock. One could have played the beta, get the play for free trial, or wait for first reviews before they decided to buy the game.
With all the free options to test, it baffles me why people buy before they try nowadays.

The constant pointing out "hey but this launched worse or just as bad" proves that he is just a troll. Otherwise he would know what everyone is talking about.
I was there during BF4 launch. Yeah it crashed a ton. More than the 2042 beta. But again, I think most just pointing out that it was at least a real BF game with a ton of content. A ton. More maps, more guns, more everything. Fact is, BF4 is still a better BF game than 2042 ever will be. Not to say that i wanted a reskinned BF4, no, I actually like the specialists abilities. Abilities is the key. So yeah, 2042 should have been a natural evolution of past games, instead its a half BF half Hero Shooter mutation. Again, if you love it - why are you here policing the forum?
