For sure, BF4 is the version of the game I enjoyed the most. I had tons of fun searching to have all ribbons and medals. Don't forget the dog tags collection.
Defuse, domination, obliteration, rush, squad deadmatch, chain link, carrier assault... Some game modes arrived with expansions but the y were great and fun.
(I also remember scavenger mode, from BF3. It was a great.)
BF2042 have nothing to go for besides a few badges or images. Tags are ridiculous and game modes are not so exiting.
@Ti4_S4ndY Tags are also extremely buggy compared to other BF games. The damn animation only triggers less than 10% of the time I hold the knife button down. It's so annoying I don't even bother with knife kills anymore, and that was one of things I enjoyed in past BF games.
