  • @DamiaNMaX In fairness, most people didn't hate battlelog due to the loadouts or stats, they hated it because of the browser plugin that made it an absolute pain to join games if not impossible back in BF3.

And I'd argue that if there's any kind of stat API available, even if battlelog goes down, someone is going to make a tracking page or revive something like bfstats that we had before battlelog (and during battlelog while they provided better granular data than battlelog).

@DamiaNMaX Having to launch the game via battlelog was the only hate it got, everything else about it was fantastic, the platoon features, the stats, the social aspects.

Why would it be impossible to make a battle log that wasn't required to launch the game?

Yeah. Good question. Budget and resources is the probable answer.

They had always great ideas in the years. Some didn't work as planed.
Oh well. Imagine, dudes make a game with crossplay and cross profiles without console k/m support.

    An industry standard for now.

The priority for them now, I guess is to publish a fairly finished game.

Let's not forget that all Battlefields needed time to mature.
So, lets hope. Those are great devs.

Biggest example is Battlfront 2. From total failure, to one of the best SW games ever.

    So, there is potential.

The whole Battlelog thing was awesome.

Missed it right away as BF1 launched and saw it was not supported by Battlelog anymore.

    Greets,

    Travis

  • Many old Battlefields had BL, how ever they shouldn't be solely reliant on BL to play if you understand what I mean. But yeah BL was awesome and I am sad that they threw it away.

So how is DLC content accessed? How can you customize weapons, when you need to access this battlelog?
