You already know my opinion on Platoons but I'll reiterate some of my thoughts.
The death of Platoons has been by 1000 cuts since Battlefield 4. With every new title we've been slowly stripped of everything that makes our micro communities thrive.
I could see this coming a mile away. When CMs don't reply to your questions you know that there is most likely bad news behind the silence so I've prepared for this for some time now.
Running a successful Platoon is no easy task but the rewards you get out of your group far outweigh the time and effort you put into the day to day work.
Long term friendships, life advice, good company and that little joke that might brighten up your day. The relationships are reciprocal though.
Above all, having some friends that you may not have had the chance to meet in real life to share your hobby is what brings us all together.
Everyone will have their own view on why we need Platoons but here is my suggestion to reboot the whole concept.
The player lists in 2042 servers feel empty without tags. We have become anonymous.

This is amazing! So we'll thought out and very viable suggestions. A platoon manager for the community is an amazing idea.
I do agree as well they have been trying to phase them out a while now. But we aren't going anywhere. And we at least deserve the decency of address.
At the very least there should be some kind of group with Platoon/Community leaders that can speak directly to DICE to tease out ideas and programs.
Most definitely. I've been saying the same. We can identify and give a onoletely different view than any solo streamers ect. I would say I'm shocked this isn't a thing. But if the intention has been to phase them out, well I guess not.
