I played every Battlefield game... If someone can control recoil and master the weapon, its easy, but not all players can do it. 🙂
@WindowsManTv_CZEthe gun mechanics is original in BF2-3.
untill BF4 to BFV and BF1 is more like COD. thats why alot of veteran players wanted BF2 and BF3 or BF BC to come back. The hyped in the trailer just like jumping out of jet and shooting RPG , needed same happen on weapon mechanics, thats what alot of what we vets are expecting to tho... 🙂

@Godzilla_Lin23up to BF1 BF games have all had randomized recoil diamonds that increase the longer you fire. The lasering that you are complaining about is actual recoil patterns that I believe was also implemented in BFV (though I haven't played it in a long time) Random recoil diamonds is the lazy mans solution, bullets don't come out of the gun at an angle, there is no reason the pattern should be random.
If your reticle stays on target for the entirety of the gunfight, there is no reason why only some of your bullets should hit.
Also, I don't know what you mean by BF4 and BF1 are more like cod, every recent COD has had proper individual recoil patterns for every gun, BF4 and BF1 use RBD/ random recoil diamonds, which is extremely frustrating.COD went to the entire other end of the spectrum though and reduced the recoil patterns so much, that if you had proper attachments, your gun would be a starwars laser blaster. I hope 2042 takes a note from rainbow 6 siege where there is no random spray and it still takes a good amount of skill to control the recoil. The issue is that it takes a lot more effort from the devs.
EDIT: added an infographic for explanation.

@Neovisi0nin overall general, BF5 and BF1's gaming mechanic, is different from BF2 BF3. That's why all we the fans out here, all the Veterans players wanted BF2 Bad company mechanic to come back on BF2042 Hopefully. We all love BF original.

@Godzilla_Lin23I wont lie, I started playing BF in BF3 and that was so long ago that I barely remember the mechanics. BF 1 and BFV have two VERY different recoil mechanics. BF1 continued with similar mechanics to BF4 while they finally implemented proper non random recoil in BF5, there's no reason they should go back to anything that resembles BF4 or BF1.
I cant say the same for previous games, but most games of that time used random patterns, so I hope they don't go back to that as it puts an artificial skill cap on the game due to even the most refined accurate player still being subject to RNG in where the bullets actually go compared to where you're aiming.
