buying a game on steam after i had played it on EA app

Hi,

I have been playing BF 2042 on the EA app because I have EA Play, but I was thinking of buying it on Steam in order to have all my games on the same platform. However, I was wondering if my progress would carry over from EA to Steam (my EA account is linked to Steam) so that I can play BF 2042 on Steam right from where I was on EA.

Thanks!

Or maybe just create a shortcut in the Steam app to link to BF. Then you can still start BF2042 directly from within steam without wasting more money? I really don't see the benefit from having the game in Steam directly as you would STILL need to log into the EA account AFAIK anyway as this is a requirement to play the game.

You will still launch the game through EA APP like everyone above suggests but you should be able to link your EA account and retrieve your stats.

  • @ForumUser I played it on EA using EA Play, not by buying it, so it’s not a waste of money if I get it on Steam
