If I delete the shader cache in the documents folder it seems to run smoother before it gathers shader cache files.
Shouldn't the point of it have the opposite affect?

@I_DYN4MO_I they have chosen the wrong path for it
if you have backup\cloud software running like OneDrive it will back up this folder to it can causes lags and a reduction of game perfomance
also, it is 1+gb for me at the moment, with more than 2k+ of files which are always getting more (last time i delete the folder it was somewhat between 2,5GB - 3GB with 3k+ files)
I luckily don’t use a cloud backup but I use as traditional HDD which is slower than the SSD for my win11 and BF2042
So if there are less files your performance is getting better
