@turtlebeachedThe "softcore" part of the community is the largest playerbase (by far) and they are perhaps more 'casual', but they pay the bills for Dice.
Spawntraps are mostly annoying and they are not fun. This will make people leave and rightfully so, who wants to waste time play a boring / annoying game?
If Dice designed the maps in a way, where you could fight back when getting spawn-trapped, it could perhaps be fun. Unfortunately many maps doesn't really take that into account and you often have to cross open areas without much cover. That makes infantry gameplay almost impossible, infantry are still 90% of the players..

I agree to a certain point (I'm old and all this modern wokeness/softness is not for me).
But BF has been pretty 'casual' for a long time now and I think you have to go back to BF4, to get the 'old-school-bf-player'.
BF4 was 10 years ago...
And I still find spawn-traps boring, even as an 'BF-vet' (and always have).
