What ever happened to "war tapes"? I miss seeing that as a sound setting in Battlefield.
- @Feenx-sama It is still in the game, but does not offer much more than the other settings… just a different playback mix it seems like to me.
The sound is bad compared to prior Battlefields. It has a highly compressed dynamic range which makes judging the distance of sounds difficult. Yes it allows hearing footsteps far away, but it's hard to pin point their distance. Everything always sounds like it's loud and happening right next to you.
Soundscape sounds flat and 2D compared to prior Battlefields which sound more 3D.
That's still there, but i don't really notice much difference
