Can you progress in battlefield 2042 portal?

After a few matches and test I've had no success at finding out how you can level up your equipment, guns and vehicles and if there's any restrictions while making game modes in portal that prevent you from progressing your gear. I've noticed there's been times when I'll progress and times I do not, how ever it's not very clear to as of how or why it does and does not progress. Is there any articles or information saying how many bot kills it to progress or can you even progress when just playing against bots. Does anyone have any more clear and concise information?

    @kidman55555 as far as I can tell, full progression only happens on official Portal games, which do not have bots i.e. Flashback Conquest. However, in my region (Oceania), I struggle to find a game with more than 6 players.
