No, I wish though hut ' for now' they are just class locking the gadgets. They are adding some sort of weapon proficiency to class specific weapons. Like recons using sniper rifles, they get to hold their breathe longer..
To answer the other person's question, I honestly can't say, I just know for me, having class locked weapons with gadgets just feels right. This whole create a class just feels too much like CoD to me...and doesn't sit well with me.
I would be completely fine if they tweaked the classes where certain classes got different weapons then normal.
Course the real issue is the insanely low amount of weapons in this title. I mean, for now...with the low amount of weapons, they couldn't make a decent class locked weapons list.
Medics could get carbines instead of ARs, so they don't get the ' best ' weapon type. ARs could be thrown into the universal weapons pool, like BF4 had.
Or they could change it up a bit, where classes got two types of class weapons ' shrugs' bit that could be further down the road.
My main issue ATM is support not having to sling medical and resupply team mates and having two classes that technically were made to deal with vehicles. We don't need assault while we have engineer class but we DO need a medic class.
