Because the class system setting of 2042 is different from other Battlefield series
Support soldiers can be equipped with Ammo Crate , Medical Crate , Smoke Grenade Launcher, M18 Claymore, because the equipment can be changed so that the support soldiers you see are not necessarily carrying ammo boxes.
Several improvements can be thought of.
1. resupply points
Hopefully the vehicle ammo limit will be increased as well.
2. Remove support soldiers who can equip Medical Crate , Smoke Grenade Launcher, M18 Claymore
Assault returns to be able to equip a medical kit?
Added that players can directly press F on the support soldier to get the ammunition by themselves.
Another problem is destroying vehicles
Before implementing the class system, I felt that not many people would equip ammo boxes. But I could see a lot of Angel's crates.
Vehicles can be destroyed very easily since everyone can equip anti-vehicle weapons.
Destroying vehicles after implementing the class system is one of the main problems at present. Can a single person easily destroy vehicles? How to cooperate with teammates to destroy vehicles?
I really don't know how to improve this situation.
The way I can think of is vehicle ammo limit to reduce the continuous threat of the vehicle to the area, and reduce the camping vehicle. The vehicle must be replenished with ammo at the supply station
Vehicle part damage rate, when the track or wheel of the vehicle is damaged it can cause him to be unable to move or move extremely slowly. But hitting the track or wheel will only cause 50% of the original damage or less damage.
BTW I like the class system, but the class system of 2042 is not what I imagined.

@AsahaTx I totally disagree with implementing vehicle ammo restrictions. The maps were clearly not designed with attrition in mind and will negatively affect gameplay way too much.
Yes it is really bad in 2042 specifically. Game wasn't designed for it like it was for previous games and it is very telling.
Any benefits of the class system are suppressed because random squad play is so poor. Who cares if someone in the squad is supplying ammunition or heals if the squad members are nowhere near one another during the match because there are no orders or people following them if they are given?
Squad play is irrelevant to the majority of the people playing this game, and I do not see how this isn't as big of an issue to this community as them wanting to remove crossplay and Specialists from the game.
To me it just shows that people will get on videos and message boards preaching about what Battlefield is supposed to be, but the actions of the players on the servers shows that they mostly do not want teamwork.
- @S3SSioN_SoL We already have limited tank shells. 6 shells and then you have to wait until your shells start replenishing.

I agree with you, the current map does not consider the vehicle ammo limit and the design of the supply station.
Unless they have to rebalance the map again. LMAO
The idea of vehicle ammo limitation is proposed because some vehicles are too powerful without limited ammo. If you want to destroy vehicles, you must cooperate with multiple players. Like Nightbird, Condor, Super Hind.
If the Air Transport's Front gunner is out of ammo, the pilot has to make a choice - take the time to go back to the resupply point to restock or keep flying to various areas to drop troops.
Camping vehicle:
LATV4( 30 mm 50mm canno ) , MAV camping at a high place in the distance can continue to support firepower in some areas and make the enemy unable to attack. If it is protected by Irish's APS-36, it will be more difficult to destroy.
On the Exposure map in Breakthrough mode, if the defender parks LATV4 or EBLC-Ram at the COMMAND CENTER in the mountain, the attacker basically has no way to occupy it.
