I play on a console with aim assist and have never experienced it being anything close to an aimbot. So....no. We can't all agree. No matter how many times aim assist is explained we still keep seeing these topics. Why is this topic always so popular to debate?

Because there's no reason to have it in any game quite honestly. It's literally the game playing for you. Having less recoil is enough. Maybe if they deleted aim assist completely, reduce the recoil a little more.

Dice: delete Crossplay.
No aim assist for anybody.
PC against PC ONLYConsole against console ONLY.
Netcode will be better, smoother gameplay, no one complains, better sales and more players. More revenue to Dice. Win-Win!
Done.
Edit: i always played BF on the PS. I think we had the smoothest gameplay when there was only PS vs PS players, Xbox vs Xbox players and PC vs PC only. No crossplay at all!!- Luke88gw2 years agoNew Veteran
@jamesnyers why not PS vs Xbox?
I'm absolutely against mixing controllers and m&k on one server. However saying that aim assist is a huge advantage over PC is a strange thing to say. Console players RARELY are among top players during a match.
If console players were forced to play without aim assist many would left because aim assist (slowdown) is essential for console gaming. Thumb precision isnt close to whole palm precision.
