    @turtlebeached You can run a custom server using the standard game mode templates.
    If you want to create something new, you need to use the rules editor.
    You’d be surprised what you can do with the rules editor. Not just adding code to make the games more interesting, but you can make entirely new game modes.

@creepnpeep Thanks for the heads up about crashes but I'll keep cross play on for now to get it going. The server filled up rapidly after it reached double figures on XBox1 version, same settings for over a year and they'll never change. Instant vehicle and soldier spawn ( no waiting to get back to the fight ) No 1 shot kill, vehicles that are realistically balanced and fast soldier movement. use any gadget. Friendly fire off. Unlimited magazines. It's fast and furious!! If you had cross play on I could check yours out.

@turtlebeached Yo. Sounds like you prefer a different kind of server to me, which is all good - that’s the beauty of portal. You can make the servers how you want.

Mine are abit more hardcore.
I have servers for all game modes.
I have even made some new ones.
Like “Trust No One”, where you have to kill enemy and recruit them. If you are killed, you join the other team. It keeps going like that until one team has all the players.

I would turn cross play on, but I don’t want PC players.
If dice did console only cross play, I’d turn it on, but they don’t.

    @creepnpeep I've played on servers with 90% PC players and still been top of the leader board. They aint that hard LOL

    @creepnpeep I haven't investigated other game mode options yet. I'm an old school battlefield player, playing since Bad company 2. I only play battlefield and conquest is my preferred mode. Though if they made a Capture the flag as it was in BF3 I'd be on it like a rash.

        @creepnpeep Good to know. That feature isn't available for the Xbox1 version.
