File a formal complaint

I would like to file a formal complaint against EA Support.
Previous topics about this have replies from Answers HQ saying they can do it here, so that's what I'm doing.

I play BF2042 and have played BF in general since the series was created.
I randomly received a Ban yesterday with a claim of 'cheating', but no evidence or background.
I filed an appeal and they just said, 'our system says you were cheating so you are', still with no evidence.

I have never cheated in any game, ever, and have been playing online games for over 2 decades with no issues.
This is personally insulting after putting so much money into EA to have them just say 'screw you and the horse you rode in on.'

Does EA not consider the possibility of false positives? There are hundreds of examples out there of people just waking up to a ban with EA offering no evidence or support.
Live chat appears disabled. Phone support is a dead service and the options for a rep just hang up on you.

I demand this be reviewed by escalated support and I be given evidence of this claim.
I'm 38 with 5 kids, and this is one of the few things I have after work to relax and I won't just sit by while it's stolen from me by incompetent systems.

  • I was just working off previous messages found here that the EA folks on this site can help with formal complaints.
    I escalated again my ban and a 'TOS Admin' is reviewing my case more deeply.

    This is complete insanity.
    This happened after my 2nd round ever of playing hardcore, so it must be related to that.
    I don't abuse any system of the game in any way, am never rude or abusive, and any TKs that occurred in those two rounds were accidental and obviously not malicious if they actually observed the round recording.

    I'm willing to escalate to the point of being a large nuisance for them since I am 100% positive this is a false positive ban.

    Unsurprisingly, EA support is outsourced to India so I need to escalate back to a stateside rep to get any action taken most likely.

  • Are you playing on PC? Any 3rd party software running? (Not cheats just anything in the background) or you on console?

    @Valor958
    I wish you the best of luck into getting through to them.
    You may have to look into whatever customer rights support exists where you live.

    While anti cheat is important, it is even more important to make legitimate players feel they are not in danger of becoming collateral damage

  • @Valor958 If they're going to ban someone for cheating the least they could do is provide an explanation. I feel it should come with information telling the date and time of the violation, even with a video clip attached. You did after all pay for the game

    Hey folks,

    I just wanted to jump in this conversation to clarify that, if you believe your account has been incorrectly banned, you can always send a dispute to the Terms of Service team;

    How to appeal a lock, ban, or suspension

    If you think the lock, ban, or suspension on your EA Account was a mistake, you can appeal the decision.

    To appeal, contact us here, fill out the web form, and select Send.

    Your case will be sent to our dedicated team for review. You can expect an email from noreply@ea.com about your case within 10 days, though sometimes it takes longer. The email will give you further details about our decision and how to dispute it if you think we’ve made a mistake. Our advisors can no longer transfer cases to our Terms of Service Moderation team.

    For further information, please see: Get information about your EA Account lock, ban, or suspension
