New Year’s Eve 2021. I’m in Aus and still same story ☹️☹️
I’ve been trying to get a few matches in today.
cross play turned off.
and every time I’ve been sitting in the assassin squad loading screen “waiting for players to join” untill it has timed out and booted me back to the game mode selection screen.
so that was no fun..
little to no chance when I was playing yesterday against the pc crowd before I turned crossplay off.
so THAT was no fun.
Honestly ea/dice a lot of the choices you have made in regards to bf2042 have led me to NOT have a lot of fun with this game.
and I’ve really tried.
I’ve made excuses like “I’m just out of practice”. “I’m not familiar with the maps yet”. “That (what feels like the millionth) instadeath was just a good headshot”. “Just a bad spawn”…
but all the excuses in the world don’t change the fact that I can’t choose how I want to play!!
it’s crossplay or nothing….
play at a disadvantage or don’t play at all…
apparently I can’t even choose which region I play in anymore 🤷♂️😡
I really hope this is just dice/ea doing their standard “rocky start but eventual recovery” thing.

I hope they can bring it back from the edge of the void where it is atm
I'm in Aus and I play with crossplay on and it can be hard to find a match.
They need to add a server browser for AOW and official portal servers because the game is going to die here because match making sucks.
Ah sorry @da_dingBAT, didn't see your reply until just now - I'm in NA West region (Vancouver, Canada specifically). I've mostly been playing other games the last few weeks but when BF2042 is booted up, I keep crossplay turned on to get right into the action. Here's hoping we get console only next year
