I connect from Asia - the closest BF server location to me is Singapore, and I cannot find a game with cross-play off on the PS5. I've heard the same from friends in Australia and other parts of Asia. Same situation. My day off and I've been trying to get one match since 8am. Sit in matchmaking queue only to get booted back to home screen. PS5, US West Coast. This has been on going for weeks. Tried to get a refund but Sony told me to F off. Waste of $100!

@da_dingBATIts every where. There is something totally fubar with console only servers.If I que solo I cant get into a match 90% of the time. Even when there are least 3 squads "waiting for more players" as I was put in caligula squad and we had 4 waiting.But if I join as a group even with just 2 people 9 out of 10 times it puts us in a active Server.I reported this in the bug section 3 weeks ago, had a ea mod ask me some questions then nothing from Dice or EA over the issue.They said the point if bots was to fill empty servers... not working.Took them a month to even give X/S users the abilty to toggle cross play off in game... they knew the server issues prior to that and did nothing.Aim assit doesnt work at all I have never once had it snap aim or track a target.They should be paying console users to test this garbage game.... but hey pc players have a issue they jump right on it to fix it and give blog posts on it.

@HawkeyeAM47 Then explain why queuing in a group works?It has nothing to do with player population. You see in the beta it would put you in a server with bots. That was one of the reason for bots. The beta had even fewer players and solo ques with consoles worked .It also when you are in solo que and in Caligula squad that means there are 12 players just on your team sitting in que and the server still wont start.This is a server match making issue and a failure to launch servers. Even if there were only a 1000 xbox or PS5 players queuing that's still almost 10 games that should be active. I'm pretty sure there are more then 1000 players in na or eu queuing with crossplay off.

It's been a struggle for me since launch to find some fast console-only games on PS5. I can compete with PC players well enough but it's just a completely different dynamic when playing against them

Yeah me too, my closest server is Singapore and PS5, if I turn Crossplay OFF I won't find a single matchI have to use VPN all the time and change my location to JPN and there's a lot of crossplay OFF players in Japan server with around 90-100 ms latency which is still playable to meDICE must give us at least options to change server region like in Titanfall 2 or better yet, give us server browser

Console only (non-crossplay) lobbies are dead - current gen

@obscene I believe this is true for all "Crossplay OFF" lobbies. In my opinion the main issue is the current Party system. When you have Crossplay set to OFF and you join a friend that has Crossplay ON that you get the message, that you need to enable Crossplay. When you say okay, that actually changes your configuration. If you don't change it back, Crossplay is then enabled. Originally I thought it is a temporary change, for as long as I am in that party, but that isn't the case.

I guess a lot of players don't realize it, so everything sooner than later defaults to Crossplay ON.

@Obzkuruk PS4 players are with Xbox One when there's xplay on. And alone when crossplay is off. Old gen consoles don't get crossplay with PC. Never. PC is only crossplaying with new gen (XsX and PS5).

Jumped back on the game (PS5) after a few months. Matchmaking in Asia is horrible for breakthrough - 0 players if I have crossplay off, mostly bots if I turn crossplay on. A server browser would help immensely.
