Agree that this ignorance from Dice against console players is frustrating. In the 4.0 update they have improved aim for pc-players but no working aim-assist still on console. Not on my Xbox series X at least.
How have they improved aim for pc players?
- Anobix4 years agoSeasoned Ace@Pantleon Apparently mouse input has been fixed, at least insofar as the sensitivity settings now map properly with previous battlefield games. Others on reddit/etc have said that gamepad play seems better though, I play on PC so I can't comment one way or the other on that.
@SilverSurfer67 I think that it could be better for console players. A fair amount of time though, I am killed with someone that is on PS/Xbox so I won't say it is impossible. I have played FPS games on PC since the late 90s, so while I'm getting older I will say that I have a fair amount of muscle memory from playing these games with a mouse+keyboard to be pretty good at it.
I think that kb/m support should be on consoles for sure though, many other games have enabled it, so it isn't like it can't be done. But I'm worried that it would cause an issue for folks that turn crossplay off then grouse about getting beat by someone else on the console that is using a kb/m.
This leads down the discussion of matchmaking based on input, while possible, there's still ways around it to have it show as one and work as the other (on console and PC).
Fortunately, I guess, the game isn't nearly big enough to have a big 'hacking' scene. I think in my 150ish hours I may have seen one cheater, or maybe they just glitched in the game (people can be invisible or under the ground, etc) - cso77774 years agoSeasoned Ace
@PantleonOfficially they have reverted the mouse settings/fov to mimic older BF-games. This means that you can use the same FOV and mouse sensitivity as in older titles.
But it seems like more than that, the mouse seems more responsive now.
The mouse now "feels" like BFV/BF1/BF4- 4 years ago
@cso7777 If they had done that at launch i could see how that would help maintain the aim. I don't see how that helps people who's been playing on the pre patch sens and now they have to rebuild muscle memory on the new sens.

even a strong aim assist is not good for gameplay because the screen turns to a side to another too much fast, simply turns the game to a blurry screen were we cant see almost nothing just that we are killing someone... its not a enjoyable gameplay, we can't enjoy the map, the graphics etc... that's why we need crossplay with consoles only, to get our nice gameplay and our player base back.
