And at the same time, imagine all the money that is being made on cosmetics and battlepasses that weren't there in the Premium model. Leading to the hope that we'd get anywhere near the amount of content we would expect in previous games. I don't care about battlepasses, I'd much rather pay an extra $30 or whatever for premium and have many times more content by now than where we're at. Someone considering a gun charm or a sticker on the side of a vehicle as "content" I find to be hilarious.
A lot of us said this is where the live service model would end up back in the BF1 era. Its not good for the consumer. It has been a gradual erosion in the quality of games industry wide. BF2042 is a perfect example of just how little content has been release compared to even earlier live service titles, much less premium and dlc models.
Meanwhile publishers have record profits and executives have never been wealthier. This is only going to get worse.
