For Battlefield standards this aim assist feels pretty normal. I haven't played a round of CoD for ages so I have no frame of reference there.
Controller settings have been a struggle for many. I've played since launch and still tweak my settings every couple weeks trying to find something that clicks.
Your experience with the beta is interesting. I recall the AA was broken against moving targets in the beta as it had been up till the recent 1.2 patch that fixed the AA.
For the settings you can either try to commit to one setup and develop the muscle memory or check out some of the popular console YouTubers for their settings guides (SMK gaming, MaxIQ, TheBrokenMachine).
- 3 years ago@AngrySquid270 I've done all of that, kept the same settings for a while, checked out some YouTube videos too, but they had the same settings I used already for the most part.
Yes and about the beta settings, they did change how several settings work when the game launched, including look sensitivity, ads look sensitivity, FOV, the stick deadzone options were changed, and a few other important settings such as the aim assist. It was a different version of the game. I actually had such a good time playing the beta, aside from the obvious problems the game had. In fact I had the aim assist completely disabled and it worked very well. I was really surprised by how intuitive the controls were, it was a big step up from previous BF games. I don't understand why all of that was changed, and there was no explanation for it. So all of my time has been spent chasing what I guess is a different build of the game.
