Controller aiming is absolutely terrible in this game

When I play CoD I can snap between multiple targets without missing, while holding down the trigger, on high sensitivity too. When I play BF2042, I can't so much as track a moving target who isn't even aware of me. I spend more time in the settings menu than I do actually playing the game, thinking there's got to be some combination of settings that will suddenly make everything feel natural and normal. Wrong.

You know what? In the beta, the controller aiming was way better. I didn't have to constantly fiddle with the settings at all, I set them once and it was fine. Then the game came out and all of that went to. They even changed many of the settings and how they function, so the beta settings I screenshotted are totally worthless now. The am I supposed to do now? Nothing at all feels right or even close to it. And I could put up with everything else, but I can't even rely on my own aim.

@xXHappy_PuppyXxI get the feeling that you feel that this game was and is only intended for console players and it is the PC players who have ruined this game with our constant crying.

I think he’s just tired of hearing people whine about something that doesn’t exist.

@CascadiaSRL No what I'm tired of is PC players who complain about console aim assit. That lie about how it works nor understand why its needed.

I'm tired of PC players ignoring their advantages such as extremely more precise aim with a mouse, high framerates, higher resolutions.

I'm annoyed that all these magic console aim bot threads are trying to blame consoles for Dices sub par crossplay net code.

I'm annoyed that PC players have this attitude that console players should never kill them and should be fodder for the master pc race.

Yes I do believe that Dice should only make a console version and a PC version. Mixing the two doesnt work. Unless PC is limited to the same framerates and resolution and input controls as console. Why console because consoles are set hardware you cant upgrade them to gain advantage.

Over all I hate what this crossplay garbage has done to the game in general. I was on the CTF2 Nova Logic Delta Force world champion team on PC in fact was the captain of the team. I'm very familiar with the advantages of PC over console especially with m&k. I'm not coming at this from a console only perspective.

I just prefer console now becuase cheating just became so rampant on PC in general.

@AngrySquid270 I've done all of that, kept the same settings for a while, checked out some YouTube videos too, but they had the same settings I used already for the most part.

Yes and about the beta settings, they did change how several settings work when the game launched, including look sensitivity, ads look sensitivity, FOV, the stick deadzone options were changed, and a few other important settings such as the aim assist. It was a different version of the game. I actually had such a good time playing the beta, aside from the obvious problems the game had. In fact I had the aim assist completely disabled and it worked very well. I was really surprised by how intuitive the controls were, it was a big step up from previous BF games. I don't understand why all of that was changed, and there was no explanation for it. So all of my time has been spent chasing what I guess is a different build of the game.

@SleepyWeasel68 I have the aim assist snap setting set to 0. I'll be damned if I let an aimbot setting play the game for me, I'm here to improve my own skill in a PvP environment. Dice should've never put that aim snap setting in the game. It'd be one thing for a pve game, but in pvp? Not good
