I love and trust you guys but this is what I was fearing. It’s unfortunate that not all player bases are being listened to. Just because some of us enjoyed the maps the way they launched doesn’t mean we aren’t important. Is there anyway to keep the original versions of the map on a strategic conquest playlist and put the new designs on a tactical conquest playlist? In Battlefield V all maps were split into two different conquest servers strategic and tactical. The problem in that game was that you could only play certain locations on one or the other as they were split up. With BF 2042 both servers could have all locations just have original designs on one and the new designs on the other. That way whenever we want a huge sandbox experience we can play strategic and when we want a more action pack experience we can play tactical. Respectfully I paid $120 on this game for a truly unique next-gen experience and I feel by scaling down these maps my experience will be hindered. As for traversal problems I think 1 team can be given a north and west spawn, while the other team has a south and east spawn. Basically multiple home base spawns at different corners to spawn closer to different objectives. Whatever is decided PLEASE allow us to play original versions as well as new versions call them Day 1 or something as in beginning of war.
As far as scaling down breakthrough to 64 players please do not do this! I play both variations and enjoy both for different reasons. Without voice chat squads have been limited at strategy but for me and my friends we have mastered all modes and how to approach objectives. First time playing Breakthrough in Kaleidoscope we couldn't even cross the field and never captured first sector. Next time we all equipped smoke grenades and they couldn’t stop us. As we leveled up we had a combo of spawn beacons and smokes. A lot of the “issues” just requires strategy, approach and communication. Me and my friends problems with the game have been the bugs that don’t allow you to use ADS, stuck in a wall can’t be revived, difficultly pinging enemies when down, things like that. The maps and modes were almost perfectly designed and was the reason why i havent stopped playing. I am always finding a new location or strategy on how to sneak around and this is because of the brilliant designs. Only map that needs more bases or scaling down is the desert WW2 one in portal.
All I request is that we are given options don’t just cater to the people who hate the game but also the ones that love it like myself. We are the ones still playing and deserve to be listened to as well. If possible I would love a reply on the possibility of a strategic playlist and a tactical playlist so some of us could still enjoy the original maps. If this is not possible from a game size standpoint or something please say that. Otherwise please consider it I’m so scared I will lose my favorite little sections that add to the feeling of a huge nextgen war. Also do not give up on hazard zone I know friends that only play this mode. I suggest having a level system specifically for the mode including more unlockables unique to the mode also maybe add some of the portal maps to hazard zone in a future update.
Totally agree with you! I also payed $120 for the next generation all out warfare experience. Scaling down map size and reducing amount of tanks is horrible.... And a step in the wrong direction! Can you imagine only 2 tank slots per team on 128 servers? Thats between bolts, wildcats, and MBT's! Panzerstorm on bf5 had 7 tanks per team on only 64 conquest and it was fun for the people that enjoy that large scale vehicle warfare. There needs to be a minimum of 4 per team. increase the amount not reduce! MBT also act as transports with 4 seats. The game just needs more cover and transports vehicles. Thats it! Portal can be used for smaller maps/infantry modes

i am ok with increasing the density of the maps and making less open space between cap points
But reducing the vehicle spawns and increasing the cooldown will make Conquest a lot less interesting for vehicle players
Those changes to vehicle spawn time/quantity should only happen in breakthrough.
