CPU upgrade dilemma for BF2042

Hello my friends.

I want to upgrade my CPU from my current AMD R5 5600x

I want to get either RYZEN 7 5800X3D or RYZEN 9 5900X, currently prized the same in my country, and being my last choice for upgrading on my AM4 platform (X570 chipset)

My GPU is the RX 6750 XT and my monitor resolution is 1080p and my RAM speed is 3200Mhz

Which of them you think will perform better for battlefield 2042 in CPU intensive 128p rush or conquest modes?

I am on dilemma because I upgrade mostly for gaming, but I can use the extra cores of 5900X for my video rendering and for music production need.

Thanks in advance.

In PC Builds's Bottleneck Calculator seems that 5900X will be less bottleneck for my GPU than 5800X3D, on the other hand I see that most advice for 5800X3D for gaming in 1080p, so I am a bit confused there.

Hello, and again thank you so much for your replies.

Got the CPU (5900X) today, and I am very happy.

     It is so fast!!! OMG!!!

I was pleased with my 5600X as I said for games, but this one goes crazy fast.

It is hotter, but I set it to 65W eco-mode for lower watt consumption, and even now, drives my GPU faster and the 99th% FPS doubled in BF 2042 and V

Runs smoother and fps are a bit higher than 5600X. Not so much, but the 99th% FPS has gone mad :-)

I see no reason to run it in full PBO, in 65W eco or 85W eco according to my tests so far gives crazy performance with lower temps in apps, and for at least my games is overkill.

I'll leave it in 65W eco-mode for now.

For full PBO run, I see that it needs liquid cooling which I have, so everything is great now!!

     Thank you, again, so much!

I won't regret this upgrade for sure!

@V-SynthNinja nice! I'm honestly surprised you notice that much of a difference between the two. I have a 5900x and it does run excellently (but I like having the other cores for background process, virtualization, and encoding stuff when needed)
