You just sit in the laoding screen, so its forces you to turn it back on
- 4 years ago@Sci0n This sounds like a bug / problem. I would highly suggest reporting it here:

Sounds like you have no servers available then, that serve the Xbox X world...
So its not like crossplay is forced ON.
Root cause problem is that you have no servers available to avoid it.
- 4 years ago@CyberDyme Yeah... my thoughts as well... but shouldn't there be some available? Even if they are just bot-filled?

Sounds like a problem to me...That is actually the catch-22 problem that EA have not provided any answer to so far. Because the servers disappear when there are no active human players remaining on the server.
And agreed @carsono311 , it is obviously a technical problem that needs fixing from EA's side, as servers should be available for everybody to play on, including players choosing to disable crossplay. š

Wrong as I can play the game when its on, go look up how you turn it off then make a comment otherwise u looked stupid mate.

@Sci0nEasy on there.
I am sure you are frustrated, however @CyberDyme is trying to help by first understanding what your issue is.
Have you reported the issue as a bug? We are talking it out still.

Please also note this constraint, if you want to toggle your CrossPlay setting:
So you cannot change the setting either way if you are in a game party setting or if you have started the search for server to join a game or if you have already joined a server to play on.
So make sure to change this setting to what you want it to be, before you connect with any of your gamer friends or browse for servers to join.
It will otherwise show up as 'disabled' as shown on your own screenshot there.
- 4 years ago@CyberDyme Well i got problem because Iām not in party or matchmaking and still switch button for crossplay is disabled (Xbox series x - gold version)

Same for me. First time in I joined a game instantly. Then realised crossplay was on so came out and switched it off in xbox settings.
Since then, as others have said, it just sits at the loading screen saying "waiting for players".
So not a good start.

People need to keep pushing this post or nothing will change please people let ea know we as console players really don't want forced crossplay with pc. Playstation and xbox 100% would be amazing EA WE DONT WANT TO PLAY WITH PC PLAYERS!!!!!!!!!!!

To my mind if I can't switch off cross play, I won't play it. Who on a console could enjoy playing a game where you've got a baked in disadvantage against half your opponents.
For anyone who thinks the same (most id guess), the game is effectively completely broken at launch.
- 4 years ago@FatherDed I had my order refunded, forced crossplay with PC is rediculous, PS and Xbox crossplay is what we've always wanted, not this rubbish. And as soon as you turn crossplay off, you can't get a game.
- 4 years ago@L0wK3yNZ Fair play, mass refunds is the only way they'll listen.
- 4 years ago@Sci0n I have crossplay turned off on my Series X and have no problems getting into a full AOW conquest match.
They, and every first person shooter game with crossplay, needs to have a console only crossplay option.
