This is how you turn off crossplay on xbox.
This doesn't work the way you think yes you will only play Xbox live players but only if they have also turned of cross play this way removing you from play with other Xbox players with it turn on so the pool is to small to get a match crossplay wasn't locked on in the beta I turned it off and I never had a hard time getting a match either this is a early access problem or EA is going to screw Xbox players like Activision did in COD forced crossplay or be punished for not wanting to play with PC thanks EA Dice earning the hate AGAIN
- @dumhick72288 Agree 100%. Not happy about this. So not cool. I hated COD for making us play with PC.
- @JohnnyBBad At least COD has 120 FPS and m&k support. 2042 has neither but forced xplay.
Best to stay on topic in hopes that Dice does something about all the current problems. But yeah, Infinity Wards Modern Warfare reboot was amazing. I just couldn’t stand Warzone shafting Xbox players with no Crossplay opt out option. Dice now did it and it’s a huge slap in the face to Xbox players and Microsoft in general as a partner.

I fully support the matter to have EVERYONE be able to have crossplay disabled!

My partner and I cannot play BF like this. It's not fun at all when you don't stand a chance in a firefight. We played BF3 and BF4 to death but untill this is fixed we are going back to other games. I hope this is only an early access issue.
This actually worked just fine for me, which means lots of Xbox player are doing this. There are fewer portal games for Xbox, but I am playing the new mode right now.
They will fix it...and more players will come online on the 19th and after Christmas as people get the game or Xbox cards etc.
