It's not a bug. Microsoft embraces crossplay and Sony was against it from the start and requires a way to turn it off in the game settings. Nobody disables crossplay on Xbox because Microsoft hides the option and chances are it's glitched anyway.
One of the reasons I prefer PlayStation over Xbox.
@OskooI_007 Its not that they embrace it, its they have no rules so publishers do as they please, Sony has rules.
@CyberDyme MS deal with EA is only marketing same with CoD and Sony. This is EA using Xbox users to prop up PC when the cheaters start same as all PC games.. There are many posts on reddit and on MS own forums about crossplay and as you can see they don't listen.
Shock horror sony allow it to be off - just shows how anti-consumer xbox platform really is
- @ragnarok013 How is it a bug when it tells you to turn it off you need to use the xbox settings? Its clear its not a bug it was done like the on purpose.
- @Sci0n That doesn't have anything to do with MS. Halo has input based crossplay and from the game itself. I'm sure other games also have a crossplay toggle in game.
- @xXGugusseXx It has to be ea's play because that switch was basically functioning in the Oct's play test.
I've been trying to get this game to work FOR 2 DAYS, and have yet to be loaded into a multiplayer lobby. I go to the "waiting for players to join" screen and stay there until it kicks me back to the main menu. It will do this OVER AND OVER as many times as I let it. The only thing i've been able to do os play a solo game, and that's DEFINITELY NOT what I paid for! You better not even THINK about suggesting that I clear my cache!!!! You've got alot of nerve to charge these kinds of prices for a game that doesn't even work... Not to mention what I paid for the EA Play subscription. I believe i'll be demanding a FULL REFUND considering every dime spent was 100% WASTED
Same thing here. You on Xbox? If you go to Xbox.com and go to account history within 14 days you can request a refund. I’ve been posting and tweeting and emailing with no response since the 19th where I spent hours doing this cache bs etc. No answer from anyone
@1Hairy-GorillaMicrosoft has been pushing crossplay hard since the very beginning. They're using it to prop up player numbers on Xbox like you say. Most players have reported there's like 30 Xbox players in a server and the other 100 players are on PC.
There's probably very few PlayStation players in crossplay servers because most of them have figured out how to turn it off in the game menu.@OskooI_007 Same with CoD lobbies full of PC players with 1 console user >< me lol... Xbox in previous titles had the same player count as PC and around 1/3 less than PS4. Its not low Xbox player count at work somthing else or the game didn't sell well on console after the beta with no AA and PC crossplay who knows hehe.
After Warzone I'm sure many are like myself and nope as soon as forced crossplay comes up. Console Only crossplay like Apex with opt in PC is the way it should be.
I have canceled the game. I have lived this situation with warzone. The only way to change this would be a massive cancellation of this game.
Until you can disable crossplay from the options menu, do not buy the game.
