Why on earth would console players who actually pay to go online want to play pc players who play for free and have the ability to use all sorts of scripts?
The reason why you buy a console is because your all on a level playing field surely

@emerson1975 because many of us have friends on multiple platforms and there's no harm if crossplay is voluntary/opt in. From moderating the Battlefield forums for years I swear that console players were constantly whining about "cronus max and zim users" so how is console a level playing field when for years the console players claimed that it wasn't?
- 5 years ago@ragnarok013 Console is a darn sight more of a level playing field than going up against aim bot and wall hack users.
All you doing is bringing cheaters into the console space! - Icemangooo5 years agoSeasoned Hotshot@emerson1975 you can opt out of crossplay though and console has cronus max cheaters these days 😉
- kregora5 years agoSeasoned Ace@emerson1975 Yeah I really like the option as a PC player that I can opt-out of cross play with console players, so I don't have to deal with their aim-assist.
- 5 years ago@kregora I would rather have aim assist than have aim bots and wall hacks every day!
- kregora5 years agoSeasoned Ace@emerson1975 Aim assist is an aim bot, and since its build-in in the game it makes it so much harder to spot an aim bot. And aim assist, that sticks to potential targets that you wouldn't have seen without this help is an issue on its own.

I think they're screwing up big time adding in PC to crossplay.

I don't get why they couldn't do the following:
Console only Crossplay enabled by default
- Option to opt in with PC
- Option to disable crossplay completely
Consoles should have their own environment as they both are for the most part using similar hardware, input devices, and have close to zero cheating on their platforms. If someone wants to play with PC let them opt-in for it. Those saying to disable don't realize that this will greatly limit your chances if crossplay is enabled for all platforms.

But since it's auto enabled, it will greatly reduce those who don't want to play amongst PC players.

I believe PlayStation and Xbox should be allowed to play together WITHOUT pc. And then opting out would be PlayStation eco system only, same for Xbox. And only opt in for PC.

@kregoraYou really need to understand the difference from aim assist to a aim bot.
Show me where aim assist with controller makes headshot's only on xbox/playstation?
The reason hacks exist on pc is because they do not invest money into stopping it.
We all see new accounts with 98% headshots k/d ratio 20-1 but there anti cheat does not pick it up?
Why is that? it's just not possible!!
Look at the cheats on pc for 2042 from certain sites just not detecable and dice know it.
Just will give the usual talk were on it but do nothing in reality.
- kregora4 years agoSeasoned Ace@Kona_uk Aim assist is an aim bot with a very narrow application. That doesn't mean that you get head shots all the time, but it may slightly increase your accuracy. So the code is there, and a cheater can use that to his advantage, by wide the application. It doesn't need to be a headshot only bot.
