Current weapons balance makes 0 sense.
Dice, can we please take a step back from changing guns every single patch for no reason at all? Currently, weapons are so out of balance that it is hard to wrap my head around what's what, and I'm a player with over 1000+ hours and T1 badges on ALOT of the guns and vehicles.
First of all, SMGs are now new ARs. They haven't been affected by recoil nerf and new CZ3 can pretty much laser beam people at 60-70 meters, something that you guys have been so desperate to get rid of. Other SMGs are now kings at up to 60m range, even fast ROF such as AC9 or the K30, beating most ARs.
ARs are now garbage in general. There are some exceptions. AK5C is what AK-24 used to be when the very first random bullet deviation patch came out for ARs. AK-24 used to have amazing accuracy and medium ROF which made it king of mid-range. Then you nerfed it 2 or even 3 times, and now you release a 1 to 1 copy of an AK-24 pre-nerfs.
VHX is still pound for pound king of all round ARs. Fast ROF, insane accuracy, fast reload, 40-round mag. There are 0 downsides to using this weapon. In comparison, M5A3 has been dry shafted by recoil nerf. My entire screen shakes like crazy when using it with a short barrel. While VHX with the same ROF, damage, and much better accuracy has been barely affected by the recoil change. Some other ARs are still viable, but not as fun to use as before due to excessive screen shake. Try M16A3, its quite nice at the moment.
LMGs feel way too cartoony. They lean left to right as if someone is rocking them back and forth off screen. Looks goofy and unfinished. They haven't been that good in general for a while, and nothing has changed since. Very mid weapon group for a very specific playstyle.
DMRs, well, we all know what happened to DMRs. RIP. F.
So we're once again at ground 0. It will make multiple patches to iron out the utter disaster that you have created. My only advice is to listen to the community. Especially to people with high infantry kill numbers. Those guys know better how to balance weapons and how to make them feel right.
