@cxj3g41fulwj I see you (and some others) get hung up on the word "mil-sim" to discard the whole letter, so let me put it differently;
Battlefield used to be an arcade shooter with a dark/gritty/realistic setting - not so much mil-sim, but at least it had a realistic setting while being an arcade shooter.
This realistic setting, combined with the brilliant sound all added to the immersion of being in a warzone.
