Decline of social features, do DICE devs even play battlefield with friends?

So, a short story. 

5 friends walk into a bar.... But One was left outside. It was the rule. 

Then a good friend breaks had the idea of breaking the party up once they are in, so the other friend could join them!

But... Nope! It didn't work. The bar had 64 players already! It was full.

There was once a few AI in the bar, so it worked! That was a good day!

Unfortunately, every time they serve the random beer, which costs tickets, it depletes. Instead of waiting for the tickets inside the bar, which makes a lot more sense, everyone has to leave the bar and rejoin to drink a new random beer (it can be the same). It makes no sense, but it is what it is.

But friends magically ended on different bars after trying to join again. 

Then the friends read on Reddit that, if they stay by the bar entrance and don't press any button, they will rejoin the previous bar, and maybe drink a new beer! That would be great, wouldn't it?!

So they tried it, but... Nope? About 2 minutes later, the friends find themselves in two bars, 3 friends in one, 2 friends in the other.

So they all leave the bars.

One day, one of the friends had a great idea. "Let's try making the people that live in the same region in the US to press the "search bar" button at the exact same time after a countdown, and then, by prioritizing a lower ping, the bar gods will let them be together at the same bar!" - he said. All agreed.

The party leaders were going to press the button to join the same game. After all, they live close and started the search together. Match found. Hopes are high!

But they were denied again! They found themselves going to the Discard and Arica Harbor pubs. They got sad. 

One said: Don't be sad! It is just pretty hard to go to the same bar sometimes!

So they gave up, and two friends who are not big fans of the bars go get a burger. The three friends finally drink two of the same beers in a row, and get angry with the bartendee that was lagging and some stupid s:!t that happened, like spawning in the wrong table and getting instantly punched by a guy who was willing to punch the other guy. And that was it.

But the future holds surprises. A new bar is coming to town. A MODERN bar that serves COD with fries. and the equivalent beers to the other bar we were regulars. I'm not a big fan of COD and I spent all my money on beers. But... Given that all my friends are going there I don't wanna be left alone!

No. Not alone. Especially now that this bar that is pretty banged up, empty, and serving bad beers, sometimes ten times in a row. I think I am going to spend some money on the modern bar. Then the opposite will happen. I won't have money to come back to the current bar sven it opens it's 6th franchise. I know all art and marketing will be lies. I lost confidence in them, and the new bar will just at the perfect time to replace the old one. That will be a hard blow. Well deserved, though, because we tried telling the owner what we wanted and he said "go away! Your expectations are brutal!" even though deep inside he knew the bar should keep us inside the whole time for the next round. And there was more! He said he was listening to us, but pretended we never asked for that. At one point, he said that the conversation was over because we were all animals who could not keep it civil and turned his back to us.

Will we ever have a persistent bar browser? 

Maybe when the player count is so low that the only 20 guys in the US will go to the only available bar in the east coast, they will play together. Until then, NO SOCIAL.

Season 2? No hopes. If they don't do it, we'll boycott that bar!
