You are free to just back to whatever BF in the series is a BF to you .. and stop requesting things that no ones want beside a handfull of overly vocal and totally unrealistic players .. Who ask each and everyones of them a different " Vision " of what they call battlefield ...
Ive played BF for longer than pretty much anyones on these forums .. And sorry but beside breakaway and Kaleidoscope the maps are very good for conquest WICH IS THE true BF experience ...
Also in find this BF to be the best BF they ever made since BF2 ... BF3 was not bad per say neither BF4 but they were not as good as BF2042 in so many aspect ..
Some maps needs improovement here and there .. So balance issues need to be adressed here and there ... But DICE dosnt have to shut the game or fundamentally changed it ...
They created PORTAL just for peoples like these who want BF 2042 to be a carbon copy of old tittle .... Portal offer almost unlimited possibility ... But you know the truth ? Almost no ones want to play these even if they put lots of effort into the modable aspect .. Why ?
Because most peoples who dont spend a seconds on forums actually enjoy the base game more than these " Users created modes " wich they might play for an hour or so every now and then ..
Now the " Target audience " they had for portal want to force everyones into the " OLD " experience because they cant get populated servers for their " vision " of what BF should be .. Thats the reality
BF2042 base game is very much a battlefield wich at its core is a COnquest type game with combines arms gameplay , Air , Ground and infantry troops battltling out ! .

@Stew360 Stop saying you played this game longer than anyone else... I started the series with BF1942 Beta/demo. Doesn't make my opinion any better than someone who started with BF3...
If you think this is the best BF they ever made than you're in a very serious minority... Maybe this is exactly what YOU wanted out of a BF game, which again, is fair and your opinion. But MOST of the BF community did NOT want this hero-shooter wannabe...

@Daeyon-beThere is no such thing as a BF homogeneous community ... All BF games were vastly different on so many level even BF2 and BF2 modern combat on xbox were vastly different on so many level yet they were both combine arms BFgames ...
BFBC and BF2 were insanely different on so many level even BFBC2 and BFBC1 were totally different on like hundreads of points yet were both BF games ...
Most BF2 players hated BF3 and called it out a COD games and so on and on and on and on ...
Everyone in what you call BF " COmmunity " all have vastly different expectation and so on .. Some wanted BF to be more realistic , some others want it more arcady . Some want totally destructible environments some others hates it and want more undestructibles covers ..
Some want 120mm tanks to have fixed rotation speed .. Some want back the arcady turret speed thst moove at mouse speed etc..etc..
For some BFV mechanics etc..is the gold standards for others irs BF2 others BF2142 others its BFBC2 others BF3 some others BF4 and some others None of the past BF ..
So sorry but there as never ever been a consensus about what BF should be next . wich BF should get a sequel .. Wich mechanics should go trough and so on... There has never ever been a BF who wasnt heavily criticized at launch on all level and BF2042 is no different Yet its as much a BF game as any other BF games who made things different .. BF2 , Bf2 Mc , BFBC , BF2142 , BF3 etc..

I was 10 Years old when I started playing. lol i used to have a blast, and was excited to have my son join me and my dad, but the game is just too unplayable.

Please point out how is it unplayable ?I have dozens of RAW video footage on my chanel and the game is a mile away from " unplayable " you can also see my frame rate and how many times i encounter bugs and issues in hours long videos lol
- @Stew360 Yes. But I only played the beta and the free 10 hr trial when it launched. I hated it, then this weekend is a free weekend and the game runs beautifully on my series x so didn't say anything about being unplayable
The devs need to say hey we messed up and start fixing this from the ground up.

I was really disappointed with the specialist. If I wanted that I would have played a different game. I play battlefield for that core battlefield experience. I do feel as though it is ok to have options and I want people to be able to play the way they want. The more people the better, but I wish they would have left out the specialist, or made a game mode with working XP for those of us that don't like specialist. I'm fine with portal but I can't get any XP that way and I like to level up.
