"BF2042 base game is very much a battlefield" Yeah nah that's wrong lol, the maps are terrible and noone ever expected trash specialist to completely replace Assault, Support, Engineer, and Recon. The specialist and garbage maps and lack of weapons is what has ruined this game, it may have sold well but I don't think I've seen a game population die out so quick.
You praising this game would be in the minority of people who actually like it.
Maps are not terrible, and gunplay is good after Update 3. We need content and more modes. It's that simple. The drop in player base is not because the game sucks, but because people are waiting for content. Battle Pass is incoming with more guns. People have nothing to do right now.

According to who, you? Hahah. I have seen much worse in other BF games. There's not a single map in 2042 that I hate. Maps are fine. Content is what I need.

The problem of the maps are the lack of cover and to big with empty areas. I do not think that the maps are fine.
