Looks like it could be a competent competitor, if they don't do anything crazy dumb like P2W weapons.
Competition often benefits clients. I hope it'll bring up serious competition and DICE will shape up.

Nice video and it looks more polished even though it's an alpha than BF2042's released build.Will there be a conquest mode like a Battlefield? If yes then I would definitely play it.
i'm not interested in free-for-all like running and gunning or a breakthrough type of gameplay where there's a predetermined path you have to follow.
I want bigger maps with vehicle gameplay combined arms and freedom to go around the map to choose a mission or decide which flag to take etc.Freedom, freedom, freedom most importantly.
The freedom in conquest is actually more important to me than specialists or operators for example.
Saying this as a mostly infantry player.- @JOGAGATYA Yes and also a BT mode but operates differently to BF.
- @Lady_One Seems alright. I submitted for beta access on steam. Definitely has a feel of COD:MW + BF having a baby. Not a fan of the specialists, as with BF, but at least it isn't pretending to be BF.
Wonder if it will be regular F2P with just cosmetics or P2W.- @Anobix Personally I'm mainly worried about P2W, like the others I guess. If it's a reasonable one-time payment I'd be ok with it, but that's almost never the case...

Well, Levelcap also made a video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1TUgoqXDYTw mostly pointing out how extremely similar to Battlefield it is and using Jackfrags' gameplay. Mentions that there's not as much destruction since I know people are probably looking out for this, and that the weapon customization menu has a section that shows you the recoil pattern, damage dropoff and all those goodies.
Personally, I don't mind the copying if the game is decent and especially since EA's Battlefield hasn't been super decent. Same with Palworld.
