@GrizzGolfThe state of the game at the moment, is not worse than BF2042 was at launch.
A few adjustments and it will be better than 2042 (movement, sound and less AI).
If they keep their promises of no pay-to-win, then it comes down to the number of maps and the quality of map-design. The existing maps are one ok map (cqc/city) and one not so good (too open).
Any hints at how many maps there will be at start?
If nothing else, DF will make Dice work harder and deliver a more finished game and hopefully lots of maps. Just think about it: DF is a FREE game providing a similar experience to BF. Hope Dice can deliver something special with the next BF game, otherwise it will be impossible to beat FREE.
BF is the king of the genre bit lately they became the underdog. DICE: I am going to root for you to come out with a fantastic game next time, but you need to deliver MORE CONTENT. (MAPS!!!!!!)I play the 128 conquest mode and currently playing the same 7 maps all day. Sometimes i only play like 3 of them because the lack of servers with proper rotation. Also i have to play against superman PC players Next game has to have:
- lots of maps
- proper map rotation
- no crossplay please (another way to beat DF, lots of people don't want crossplay)

If I may also add, better servers with much improved tic rate. I keep getting network errors when playing anything in pathetic portal lately.

Exactly, I am hoping that DF will rouse DICE/EA enough that they will focus on what defines Battlefield games instead of considering the core players guaranteed which in the last 2-3 games have been making them try to attract BR and extraction/Hero shooter players.On the bright side DF will give us something to do while we wait for a year.
