Demand refund for early access "beta release"
It's simply insane to me that during the beta console players had cross play. And only early launch it is some how gone. If we all remember before during the beta it was stated that ceossplay console to console is going to be on launch. They didn't specify that there would be simply no chat feature. Because honestly there is a history already out there of games literally dying because of no chat. So we likely assume that isn't an option for ea/dice. Welp they did it to us.
Now let's get to the lovely Early access. Early access at a jumbled time. First it was midnight on the 11th. Then everybody noticed twitch streamers getting it around 9am on 11th. Then there was scrambling to release it even earlier for ea access. Regardless we paid $120 for early access first when that was the only option. We find out that it's not truly earliest access. Locked behind ea trial or ea access of additional $15 or better yet thousands to be a daily streamer with a follower count. If I'm not mistaken the general consumer outweighs that of funneling followers to twitch streamers which I'd warrant they probably have a contract with twitch to boost viewership. Regardless, it wasn't truly early access for all.
Now onto the connection issues. If we all recall the open beta was a previous build way behind their current function build. The beta was a "stress test" for network capabilities. By that knowledge they could gather how much to allocate to the server function right? Well no this is ea/dice. Upon early access we have had days of constant connection issues with "just keep clicking retry, we are aware of the issue and on it". Or, "failed to connect, being sent back to main menu". These obviously not direct quotes I'm paraphrasing. Now with all of these connection issues let's make things even worse shall we. Ps5 has the option under settings to change crossplay IN GAME. Now let's go to xbox. The option isn't available. You literally have to change crossplay settings in your network configuration because you know they never want xbox users to play crossplay in any game. Now. After we change crossplay what happens? An infinite loop of waiting for players because there isn't any players to be found? I personally doubt that's the case. I don't know why you literally can't even join the main conquest because there is nobody.
I literally will not accept paying 120 for a early access that is a beta test for actual launch. Nobody should either. I don't personally care that they "will fix it". The game is a full "gold" release. Meaning it is finalized for retail release. I don't know if the standard has changed for that. Well it must have. I would encourage people to voice up and start demanding refunds of part of the $120. Personally I loved battlefield. I would love to see improvements. However ea/dice is in direct violation by falsely promising launch events. It'll be at some point they get sued for it.
