Since this game is being worked on by a skeleton crew and hopes of content is dwindling by the day please release to the community DEV tools and MOD support so that we can continue the support into the future. This game engine with mods would be like BF2 on steroids with the Modding community . If you really valued us a community give us the tools to enjoy the game
and play the way we want and create a very incredible Portal environment for the community.
From my limited vantage point I can see little reason why we couldn't get tuning mod capability like being able to edit weapon/vehicle variables. While the complex licensing agreements revolving around the various software and dependencies the game uses would prevent things like map editors and custom models, it's hard to see why a tuning mod kit like the one for Company of Heroes series for example couldn't be made for Frostbite. In fact, they already do for past games in the form of 3rd party tools that I will not mention here.
Tuning mods would be an natural extension for Portal. Yes it falls well short of full on modding but it would open up a huge world with which to play with all the variables and create balance mods, sim mods and more.
People have been asking to mod Battlefield since BFBC2 and never has been answered to my knowledge. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say we will never see one.
Because the community "modders" showed them up by ultimately making better content and modes than EA could, i.e Desert Combat, Forgotten Hope etc. etc.
With how sensitive people are these days I am sure the devs don't want to be shown up by others and then start crying.
It would be nice to go back to the desert combat days, imho.
