I'm glad there's at least 1 more map coming.
Sadly, I literally couldn't care less about the lie services' promotion for "limited time modes".
These limited time modes just show how out of touch the "creative" team is. It makes little sense to create entirely different experiences from Conquest and Breakthrough, the bread and butter of Battlefield. Rush is for when you want toasted bread, and is undeniably a staple to the diet.
I hope they cease with these ideas going into the next Battlefield, and introduce a more dynamic "limited time event" that takes place within the already established Conquest, Breakthrough and Rush modes. Such as a little "Secondary Objective" in each sector such as needing to download data from a terminal which broadcasts your location to the enemy, all within Conquest, Breakthrough and Rush modes whilst the "Primary Objective" of those modes remain on the table.
I honestly thought, the Leviathan event was going to be the kind of mode that starts out as PvP but then in the end becomes PvE as both teams unite to destroy a rogue machine of some kind. Who ever is the creative director really needs to step up their game. I'm honestly not surprised given the lack of narrative in 2042. Unknown soldiers bring way more to the table because then players create the narrative, I still to this day, don't understand Falck's reasoning for entering the war as a No-Pat? To do what exactly, find her son? Because entering the war would help her achieve that goal... I stop caring when logic goes out the window. Irish remains my favorite character because I'm invested with him from Battlefield 4, even if people don't quite enjoy Battlefield's more realistic take on campaigns i.e BF 3, 4 and 1, I would much rather be playing as Blackburn, his son or daughter if he had any children, or as Jonathan Miller's son instead of any of the specialists in 2042. Campaigns are how you make characters interesting and relatable... not through some cringe one liners such as "Don’t be sad, this is just how it works out sometimes".
