I understand you play the game and make decisions based on what you encounter.Do you only make changes for what you, your family and friends enjoy or get annoyed at. ?Or, do you ever listen to the paying customers. ?Do you ever revert any changes you make or is this it. We have to tolerate the game as you like it.

Dice wanted to make BF into something else (like COD with Warzone). The problem is that Dice didn't make a good BF-game with a good free-to-play extraction-mode, but instead failed in every possible way.They furthermore scammed the playerbase with a misleading trailer and straight up lied to the players about how the game would be at launch.Dice wanted an Apex / Fortnite / Warzone cash-cow, but ended up with one of the biggest AAA-embarrassments.How Dice and EA can show this level of incompetence is astounding.

While I find lots of DICE's decisions questionable, I understand they can't please everyone all the time.Nearly every change will draw arguments for and against from the community.

@DunkPricey there are vocal players (such as those in this forum plus Reddit, Discord and Twitter) and there are those that silently respond to the surveys DICE sends them regularly. We usually neglect the latter, believing that DICE should listen to us only.

@cso7777 don't get me wrong, I can be as frustrated as you on how the game panned out.
At its inception I believe DICE started from the remit of copying CoD (at the behest of EA, plausibly), and later on I imagine (I could be wrong, of course) that they were taking on board complaints from players. We just don't know what the surveys were and are saying. Why else would DICE make so many passes on guns (re. recoil and spread), for example? It originated somewhere.

DICE has been chasing trends since BFV with the epic waste of resources spent on Firestorm. I mean, a WWII experience WITH NO RUSSIAN FRONT? The time and money DICE spent on Firestorm would have been better spent on the Russian Front experience IMO.
DICE team 2042 target audience was Fortnite kids and COD boys from what we’ve seen from 2042 launch. Definitely NOT fans of the franchise.

A sad time for the franchise when Devs and producers abandon their game’s identity in order to chase trends instead of being the trend setting juggernaut they once were.

There is only one thing to say about BF2042.....it is the absolute WORST piece of crap game there is!!!
What they have let the consoles do to this game is literally stupid!!
I have bought every Battlefield game and bought them for my kids to play as well.....NEVER...EVER again will I WASTE one more penny on ANY game from EA!!

We are paying them to test their game. All these changes since launch were not for this title. They wanted to see what worked and what didn't. There have been so many changes that no one requested, it begs the question why.
They already got our money with pre-order sales. The game's development ended within a few weeks of launch.
