We've adjusted the Transport helicopters in the last game update, and we have a change to the Stealth Helicopter 30mm currently scheduled for the next game update.
Feel free to share what else you think needs to be changed to improve your gameplay experience.
Yes, give helicopters attrition. That's it.
Helicopters shouldn't be able to go through a whole breakthrough match simply popping flares, flying away, to then repair and wait for their short flare CD, an infinite amount of times, it's absurd.
Helicopters having attrition on flares would result in teams being able to eventually take down a helicopter that's been running rampant for a good period of time.
I personally wouldn't mind helicopters at all being powerful IF they could be taken down by a regular team, but right now flares are a major factor in making them overpowered by giving them such a strong and re-usable defensive action.
If attrition isn't added, simply increase the CD on flares, dramatically.
My prediction: they will reduce the rate of fire of the 30mm cannons slightly and maybe reduce the splash damage by 20%. But other than that, there will most likely not be any further changes.

Surely they're going to make the 30mm overheat faster.
I'm imagining a comparison between it and the apache gunner seat.

People who feel the main issue of the stealth heli is the 30mm cannon are making me scratch my head.
The 30mm requires the heli to be directly in the line of fire of the enemies and well within the range of manpads without stealth on.
Meanwhile the HE bombs.
- RMEChief4 years agoLegend@UP_Hawxxeye both are issues. The 30mm puts a lot of splash damage on a huge area. Anyone planning to shoot the helo is dead. With some of the other nerfed ATG weapons, there was a limit on how much you can put down in an area. With those 30mm you can wipe out an entire grid square while popping flares. They need to overheat quicker, have a slower rate of fire, and less splash damage.
The HE bombs are an entirely different problem. Their cooldown is way too fast and they can be dropped outside of the range of any ground AA. That is a huge problem, there is zero counters to it, especially in BT with the defenders rarely having any aircraft.
