They have walked this back after the backlash.
They are addressing this issue but not about the 'legacy' features or bland maps or core design issues people have with the game.
It seems they break their silence only when a Santa skin is threatened

That new patch crashed my game twice. Never happened before. They are trying to kill this franchise on purpose or what?
