DICE, what's the plan? What's happening? When does communication happen?

We are once again begging for you to treat your community with an ounce of respect and extend a little trust. Your game is dying and it's not gonna survive S1 unless y'all start showing that there's some effort being put into the game and that y'all actually want to live up to the promises of improved communication - which thus far has been a lie since it hasn't happened.

Your few remaining players are begging for communication and engagement which should, frankly, be pretty easy even if you don't have a ton to announce.

Give the community literally any reason to be optimistic for the games future or believe that DICE cares about it/the community. Again, thus far nothing you've done publicly as a studio indicates this in the slightest.

    @CascadiaSRL Sure seems like they've abandoned the game, especially with the reports that they've moved most of the team to the next title. I get that it's industry standard, but that's usually when the game you launched is in a pretty good state and not an unfinished dumpster fire.

    It honestly feels like they're doing everything possible to bury this and hope that we all forget how terribly they treated the community.

    And if it keeps up, I hope the next title sells like garbage as well. They don't deserve success if they're going to treat their community with this level of disrespect.

    Would be nice to have something, maybe a list of things to expect in the April update?

    But, seeing as how they're already talking about a "next BF game" I'm not being very optimistic about it.

    Was kinda hoping after January and February when they said "we're comitted to this! Improved feedback loop!" we'd actually see a major shift in how things were going but so far its been even worse. I figured the scoreboard update would introduce alot of fixes and balance changes but it was just that: a scoreboard... They needed months for that...

    And this is what they call "live service"... Jeezes, even games 4 year old get more news, updates and content than a brand new AAA title in a 2 decade strong franchise. Honestly, I'm getting tired of this negativity but I just can't bring myself to reinstall or bother with this game untill it becomes what was promised...

    Sorry to the devs but you guys need to get your act together and grab hold of this game (preferable 4 months ago). Nuke the specialists, remove the bolte, work on those maps instantly (and not rework just 1 map by Season 1), add more content/weapons/vehicles and improve performance... You guys advertised this as a full priced complete game with Live service and battle passes and we're not getting anything. Someone even went as far to bring back a post of mine from JANUARY about the imbalanced PKP for god's sake... 2 months and not a single change...

    @Noodlesocks What a worthless waste of time that's been so far. I kinda expected that DICE would engage in the thread in some back and forth, that they'd provide some periodic updates as the team continued to process feedback...but nah.

    It's just fodder for their once a month, "Here's a really boring blog post that doesn't say a whole lot. See, we're communicating!" nonsense. It's grossly insufficient for a game with a dead community looking to bring back players in the hopes of making S1 a success.

    Honestly, for being a "live-service" game it's literally anything but. And that's not even about the content, live-service games usually have a lot more engagement amongst the community. DICE has functionally zero engagement outside of fluff posts of "wow, so cool!" which means nothing and is a gross misread of the tone of the room.

    @edgecrusherO0 i just can't wait to scoop up some Sundance fancy hats with some EA Bucks microtransactions, she will look so cute.

    @SushiiCombo Watching them seemingly intentionally try to drive this franchise to an early grave is wild. I can only hope Marcus' recent trip to DICE HQ had a positive impact. But doubt we'll hear anything about it since the higher ups are apparently phobic of communication or transparency.

    Why they think we should have any trust, faith, or optimism in the future given their handling of 2042 is beyond me.

    You know what communication they know? Player count and new purchases. Both are non-existent for this game right now. The average daily count on Steam is now under 2K. Gamers on Steam are playing 250+ other games more than BF2042 right now. Unbelievable really.

    @Adamonic You'd think that...but nothing is any different today than it's been the past 3-4 months. So if continued poor sales and player losses aren't lighting a fire under them (IT IS A FIGURE OF SPEECH) I don't know what needs to happen for DICE to change their ways.
