Dice, you need to be more transparent
What is going on with this hit reg? What are your design principles for the network?
Apex had an article explaining their design philosophy regarding their networking. While I completely disagreed with most of their choices, at least you knew how it worked to some extent. They tried to meet everyone in the middle, meaning, that someone with high latency would still feel competitive fighting someone with very low latency. They'd both experience some unwanted anomalies, but overall it would be a "fair" experience. Which is complete nonsense, but it's all about sales.
The biggest thing I want Dice to be transparent about is how they're treating Crossplay. Are you giving Console players some sort of an advantage regarding the hit reg? It's just so consistent that I'm convinced PC players are getting put a tick or two behind them, or some other method of artificially giving Console players an advantage.
Here's an example of what happens to me on a daily basis:
I see the enemies foot sticking out from cover, they were crouched. They SLOWLY crouch walked out of cover, I begin firing the entire time, my bullets on my screen are hitting them, and I think easy kill. However, they killed me, and had like 50% health... I knew they were there. They weren't sure if someone was actually waiting for them and if they were, they didn't know where exactly they would be aiming from. They used the slowest method of movement in the game and just tanked all that damage. This is a constant occurrence.
I think we're entitled as customers to know the general working of the network, especially if there's anything in there to manipulate our experiences. If there is nothing manipulative in the coding, then please come out and say so. I have this feeling they wouldn't be able to say that though.
