DICE's silence worries me, it just makes the game harder and harder to come back.

DICE-Studio just got back into office on the 10th, give them a few days to get a consensus at least....
like it or not but DICE has never been the fastes studio to communicate and on top they just got a lot of new managers, give them a few days.....
DICE just came back and made some posts and comments on what they are working on, so there you go.

- @X-Sunslayer-X It is that before Christmas they have to know what they are going to do after they return from vacation. They already have to do something urgently so that the players do not go to another video game.
- @borroma31 well i think EA/DICE-Management took a gamble with 2042s release and lost now they need to scramble to meet expectations.
remember the working joe dev is nto to blame, upper management from DICE/EA are who are really responsible and they sadly are also the people who care the least apparently @borroma31 Even if they knew what they'd be working on after the break, they still need time to implement it all.

@X-Sunslayer-X normally I'd agree, and I definitely agree Dice isn't one of the quickest studios.
Unfortunately with the game in free fall they need the design director or whoever is running the operation in the studio to call the EA managers and say "We are doing this, this is whats happening, there is no alternative otherwise the game is a write off".
There are times when things are painfully clear that they don't need consensus or a meeting and they just need to be done.
I would say scoreboard, re-enabling portal xp and removal of end of round voice lines fall into that category.
I would also say that server browser falls into this category and the design director should just go to whoever is in charge of the Server / Matchmaking Netcode and the UI and say "Can you put a server browser in AOW even if you have to tear everything apart with the match making, can you do it within a month if this is the only thing you do?" If the answer is no, then they hire an army of coders with network experience and a couple of UI designers and get them to do it.
- @X-Sunslayer-X This isn't how businesses work, why do you think it's appropriate for a business to run this way and that their customers should just sit in the dark? They've had quite a long time to at least give a blanket notice or some kind of communication to let their customers know that they are at least listening.

sadly this is just how things are atm and no amount of discontent will make DICE move any faster then they do atm....I think you're the one that needs to rephrase. No one at this point is looking for dice to fix it. Fixing it now would mean having a time machine. I wanted past tense it to be correct. Now the only option is to refund people their money cuz what they did was wrong. And enabling companies to feel like they can do any amount of backtracking and promises for patches that obviously won't do anything in the years and months to come. Is going to become the new business model for how we handle gaming. Have you never heard of the book? The Play the movie titled The producers where you purposely make a flop to get this kind of reaction. We want our money back and we want it back now. And more importantly I feel like Microsoft needs to be pinned to the wall cuz anyone in here suggesting they're not getting a refund clearly like myself got it through Xbox. Burn that mother to the ground

- @KalashDEM i am unsure if the studio has these days of as policy, or if they just used their vacation days which they are entiltled to do with as they please....
like it or not but this is still how it has been with DICE for as long as i can remember- @X-Sunslayer-X Just because it's "how it has been" doesn't mean people can't complain about it. It's not right to their customers.
- I don't think that's an argument. No one but the money has said that the game must come out in 2021. But the developers said "clearly we are ready for release"... EA and Dice I'm sorry but you're not. It was simply a bad calculation. And I feel screwed by the development studio of my trust. So now I should hope that my 100 € investment still pays off somehow? I think it would be in the interest of the players to clearly counteract this toxic behavior of the games industry. Otherwise, the industry says... It works
i hate the mentality EA has.. release game in a disastrous state. Let’s take our sweet time to address all the problems. If only I could take this long to address problems at my job…. 🤨
@-s0-SDB Some problems do take some time to fix. It's not just click a button and it's fixed.
Don’t release a product unfinished as I wouldn’t leave a project unfinished. If I did, I wouldn’t charge my customer for my incompetence. If they paid for it already, I would refund them. I do understand there will be flaws and issues but not to this magnitude. Which steam has noticed and is refunding their customers.
