- @VBALL_MVP in Battlefield Direct Communication....nothing, in Battlefield nothing
@X-Sunslayer-X normally I'd agree, and I definitely agree Dice isn't one of the quickest studios.
Unfortunately with the game in free fall they need the design director or whoever is running the operation in the studio to call the EA managers and say "We are doing this, this is whats happening, there is no alternative otherwise the game is a write off".
There are times when things are painfully clear that they don't need consensus or a meeting and they just need to be done.
I would say scoreboard, re-enabling portal xp and removal of end of round voice lines fall into that category.
I would also say that server browser falls into this category and the design director should just go to whoever is in charge of the Server / Matchmaking Netcode and the UI and say "Can you put a server browser in AOW even if you have to tear everything apart with the match making, can you do it within a month if this is the only thing you do?" If the answer is no, then they hire an army of coders with network experience and a couple of UI designers and get them to do it.
They need time to work on all the excuses in order to appease what is left of the player base. Or maybe they watch the player numbers drop and hope it is all over and forgotten soon. To me DICE is not looking determined to bring the game in this franchise into a halfway decent direction.
- @VBALL_MVP Is not official. Is a fan Twitter.

@NarrowSpeedo Game is out barely 2 months and obviously you expect it to be fixed yesterday, huh?
- X-Sunslayer-X4 years agoSeasoned Ace@Chief2GFD i don't think this is what he means, its more on the line of the fact the game was released in this state can be seen as DICE lacking direction again, just liek they did with BFV
@Chief2GFD I expect games to be in a solid state when they are released. And 2042 was neither in a solid state nor were the new design directions any good. I mean if you wished for a broken game you have received it and can be happy now.
And by the way giving no information about the future of this game and still having many issues is nothing to be proud of. You would probably say the same after half a year like “game is out barely six months and you expect things to be fixed yesterday...”.

@VBALL_MVPin Battlefield Direct Communication....nothing, in Battlefield nothingYeah, I muted Battlefield a while back due to the lack of any relevant news to the state of the game, etc. I kept BF Comm, follow Wiebe from RE and Lehto the new BF game director. To your point, there is no new communication about popular concerns from them directly to the community. .....unless there is some other official source I'm missing and need to follow to get some news.
Weibe has been MIA on Twitter since Dec and Lehto just left for vacation and won't be back for a couple weeks. Lehto has a good rapport it seems and I used to depend on Weibe for Portal info. Hope they both return to Twitter soon.
.....geez, with folks like McNamara at the helm of Comms for EA (Global Director), I don't have much hope of communication getting better except through these other people.
Thanks for that other Twitter account. Good info in there but to @borroma31 's point, no official direct communication from EA / DICE that I can see. I will start following BF Bulletin (a fan-made project) though.
Wait wait wait these are JUST being added to a "known issues list"? Like, as of now? These have been reported for 2 months lmfao what the actual christ.
Oh well whatever progress is progress even when its a neanderthal picking up a stone
