- Trokey664 years agoSeasoned Ace@X-Sunslayer-X People read these things and then (stupidly) believe every word and make their decision based on them.
So no, it doesn't matter to me if it was intended to be a BR game as long as it is 'fact' that it was indeed, intended to be a pure BR game.
That 'fact' is notably absent.
This is a prime example of disinformation being spread by the 'community' increase the negativity around the game that is not true.
Let's not forget, this is the very same 'community' that insists that EA/DICE have lied, misinformed and falsely advertised the game. - X-Sunslayer-X4 years agoSeasoned Ace@Trokey66 i mean Tom Henderson has been correct about many of his leaks and if you want to belive it thats your own direction.
i still feel like especially EA mislead a lot concerning the state of this game.
Claiming its ahead of scheduele, the fastes feature complete game by DICE ( i mean if you rip out d dozen features that are basic in any other FPS then sure) and then acting like the victim because consumers are justifiably pissed? come on that is like a kindergartner beign mad that no one lauged at his jokes...
DICE has promised all the way back in chapter 4 of BFV to communicate more and especially more directly with the fans and here we are having not gotten a single offical piece of information again.
there is a quote from Paul Watzlawik ( a Psychologist) "one cannot not communicate" so there is that....
also all DICE would need to do is show us their early design concepts and ideas from teh game to discredit these statements... so either way one person is most likely lying to us anyways - Trokey664 years agoSeasoned Ace@X-Sunslayer-X Having worked on large projects, I can say with certainty that is perfectly possible to be ahead of schedule one day then the next, something happens or is found that can put the project back days, weeks or even months behind.
To keep using this is just more 'misinformation'. - X-Sunslayer-X4 years agoSeasoned Ace@Trokey66 so would you then inform the employer of such delays? i imagine you would... especially if it is then to be sold to a consumer later on.
imagine if a company developing software for ventilators just released a comparable mess..... - Trokey664 years agoSeasoned Ace@X-Sunslayer-X The people that needed to know will have been informed and the team would have worked hard to catch up.
At that point there would be absolutely no reason to inform the customer, indeed we were informed of a month's delay later in the year.
People won't die if the game stops working so bit hyperbole there don't you think? - X-Sunslayer-X4 years agoSeasoned Ace@Trokey66 so EA/DICE-Management clearly must have known the state of the product and still shipped it. how is that in any world acceptable?
it is a figure of speech it still and 100+€ is a lot of money still....
but regardless the house is on fire and its up to EA/DICE to either let it burn to the ground or to put it out - Micawber7294 years agoSeasoned Veteran@X-Sunslayer-X idk as it seems to me that at a certain point a game has to be released in order to get it right.
With the advent of new gfx getting ever more out of control with and imo eye candy that’s not needed for again imo FPS multiplayer online games is just silly.
More specifically Ray Tracing but others as well. - LeMairyHuff4 years agoNot applicable@Buzzfunk I agree. There are so many parts of the game that are completely unfinished, don't make sense or aren't there. For example, why during gameplay is it more important to know what platform someone is playing on over their specialist? Also, there is no score system which is a big way to incentivise and reward players for playing the game. The more rewards you get, the more you feel like you've accomplished something. The Halo series has nailed this for years, and the score system doesn't even have to be deep. It's about making player feel like they are connected to the experience.
So many things aren't there because investors weren't happy and half of the planned features became cut content. - X-Sunslayer-X4 years agoSeasoned Ace@k1u73 or you know DICE could just keep cycling it into a beta for broad testing, or a CTE you knwo instead of skimming away on what some describe as misleading marketing at the very least...
there were better alternatives but EA/DICE-Management gambled and got burned hard now - LeMairyHuff4 years agoNot applicable
@Trokey66I really couldn't care less. EA deservers every complaint and criticism for trying to sell the game priced at £49.99 which would indicate at least a fair deal of quality especially from this franchise, of which there is precisely none. People seem to think that because businesses can sell what they want how they want and be as misleading as they want means they don't deserve criticism. The customer can also play the misinformation/misleading game.
They can quite easily clear up misinformation if they spoke about why the game is a mess. For whatever reason, companies like to play the silent card and expect sympathy. I wouldn't buy a new car and expect 3 of the 4 wheels to be included and then be frowned upon when I complain about the missing one - Incredibly naïve. Market the game as a masterpiece when it isn't, and then can't handle the crap when people point it out? Tough * :]
