@X-Sunslayer-XSometimes. I just wish all that burn was directed at gfx manufacturers.
Talk about marketing! Ray Tracing has to be the most made up scam convincing everyone the awesomeness that you/we as consumers MUST have!!!
All at a low price 1200.00 after they sell out to scalpers lol
How much time did they spend on coding on this game for that crap which every one turns off?
Which imo could have been spent, time wise on releasing a more refined product that could be played by every one at 100+ fps.
Not to mention cross platform which I have no issue with but already the console’ers are crying foul, the PC’ers are crying foul etc.
I have fun playing this game, it’s playable on my old rig while needing some fixes along with serious optimizing so the player base can grow.EDIT:
When will the madness stop?
“GFX announces newest card with 8000 ghz CPU with 1000 GB ram! Now you can play our new bullet tracing that shows never before seen gfx to further own your opponent”
Suggested retail price 9999.99 some restrictions apply. No warranty expressed written or implied and no returns!
LIES!
- Trokey664 years agoSeasoned Ace@LeMairyHuff The problem with your analogy is that a car won't work with only 3 wheels, BF2042 works (mostly).
Now whether you like it or not is a different matter.
The fact that your car doesn't have air con, occasionally misfires and has squeaky brakes doesn't change the fact that it is a working car that a bit of maintenance won't improve. - Texatorr4 years agoRising Scout
From our point of view is silence not a good sign.
But try to see it from their point of view.
No matter what you type you will get hatecomments. Even if you wish a happy weekend they wish you in the answers a painfull dead.
Wouls you not be also silent.
I know those with the hatecomments are no BF fans, i think many of them are not even BF players. They are just little drama queens who need the internet to feel strong.
A real BF fan and player would know with hatecomments and all this negative youtube videos you make things worse.
A polite customer has better chances to get what he wants than a natural born unfriendly person (there was a different term before but it was censored)

Silence is golden.
By xmas next year, the game will have received lots of bug fixes, balance passes, polish passes, small improvements and content drops.
Anyone want to take the other side of that bet? .....Bueller?

@Trokey66The problem with what you're saying is that you're wrong.
My car may work with 3, but many others don't. Whether I like it or not is relevant to you since you're trying to get the point across which I am addressing.
No. What I see on the brochure and agree to purchase is what I should get on delivery day. A new car won't misfire and from factory should not have squeaky brakes (that's another topic). Aston Martin wouldn't sell a fantastic line of products to then sell a shody rebadged product, and even if they did, they would get backlash and rightly so. That's misleading. You're not just buying "a game". You're buying into a game franchise with expectations at specific levels which everyone understands. Maintenance from my side doesn't change the trash programming, design or core functionality to an improved state. What I've been given isn't really what was promised. By the legal definition, it may be, but do you really think people care about what is technically legal when they've been mislead purposefully? Doubt it.
The bottom line is, if you want to mislead people, prepare to take the hit because that is what will always happen. Fact. - LeMairyHuff4 years agoNot applicable
@TexatorrIt's a double edged sword, mainly because it's their fault they've put themselves in this position. You're right, it doesn't matter what you say, you're met with negative reaction. However, it would not be smart to consider anything else given the situation.
Once a player feels like they've been cheated out of their money, do you blame them, knowing that the publisher likely won't be coming back to fix the mess *cough* Anthem *cough*.
I'm a game developer and so it may come across as harsh but its really my passion. I couldn't dream of being proud of creating a game in this way to mislead players and label a terrible product as fantastic and then move onto another project. It's a bad mentality to have. Business is the the living blood of video games, I get it. However, you can have make great business by making good products, not by shovelling trash. I struggle to understand why people defend EA. There's literally nothing ethical about this whole situation from their end. - Trokey664 years agoSeasoned Ace@LeMairyHuff No, you bought a car, nothing more nothing less.
Despite all the literature, despite a test drive, despite the reviews available you ignored them a bought a car.
You expected more than what was on offer and now blame them for your own lack of due diligence.
You allowed yourself to be 'mislead' even though information to contrary was available. - GarfieldTehKat4 years agoSeasoned Veteran@Trokey66 I mean if we bought the game before there were any reviews....like I bought it day one of the early access, and they sold us a game that was barely playable. "Known issues" thread hasn't been updated since * December ffs when there are still so many issues

Trokey puts it this way …You allowed yourself to be 'mislead' everyone else just says they lied to you!
They blatantly lied to people and to say otherwise is just ridiculous
- spudbug4 years agoSeasoned Ace@Ga-Knomboe_Boy how impatient are you? The majority of the team has been back in office for less than a week. They did a ton of great work and fixes before holiday to mitigate the worst issues.
I'm glad they appear to be taking time to reassess the future direction of the game. Decisions like this aren't made in a few days. You might not have this big update/apology/whatever you want for another few weeks.
